Say the words "roof tile" and most people will immediately think of red barrel tiles. This is not a problem because we, at Northern Roof Tiles offer the red barrel tiles, as well as other options which expand the basic category of 'Barrel Tiles'.

Today in North America Spanish 'S' tiles are understood to be a simple Barrel tile - laid overlapping. For the past 20 years Northern has offered customers the Altusa 'S' option, which is still available in a basic Terra Cotta color. Straightforward to install this tile is instantly recognizable as a Spanish 'S'.

However technology has advanced and for almost the same cost we can offer Advance Lusa, a pressed interlocking tile, with a tapered barrel and flat pan and a thick butt edge, giving strong horizontal shadow lines.

Lusa's slightly more expensive sister Advance Roman comes with the same profile and technically advanced interlocking system, in a darker Red finish, as well as a wide range of glazed finishes.
